No debt is good debt - but there is a certified scale of badness. Yes. some debts are worse than others, just like some insect parts are less desirable in, say, a hamburger patty, and credit card debt takes the cake. Not because you will pay the highest APR for that credit card debt, no, short term personal loans carry that distinction loud and proud. Its because virtually everyone has a credit card, meaning everyone is at risk and everyone is a target.

Trying their best to create credit card debt

The credit card companies try their very best to stimulate greater credit card debts in as many customers as possible. Don't believe us? Go ahead and check this out:

Take a look at the credit menu the next time you apply for a card of any kind - what do you see?
Do you see low interest rates? Yes - but they come equipped with a hefty annual membership fee.
Do you see fee-free opportunities? Yes, but they all carry extremely high APR's!
And what about people with bad credit or even preexisting credit card debt - no problem! They can get a new card, just so long as they are willing to pay over 20% on all purchases or balance transfer fees.

The outlook is definitely not good. You can try to convince yourself that the goal of a credit card company is to help their clients, not to stimulate credit card debt and increase their profits - but you'd just be wasting time. Of course credit card debt is the mission, and you are the only one that can stand up and do something about it.

Fighting the monster with passive resistance

You really want to avoid that nasty credit card debt? Stop using credit cards! Take a seat, throw your cards in the gutter ( be sure to shred them to bits before some identity thief struts by and takes you unawares) and show these companies that you don't need their help. Sure life is easier with credit cards around - but a life without credit card debt is a divine existence indeed.
